Here We Are ch04 released
! It's 18 pages long, so it took me longer to draw and put it out.
Some previews below:
Today's music post: Juice by Lizzo. Honestly appreciating all of Lizzo's songs for catchiness as well as great videos and body positivity!
Here are the WIPs from chapter 3 of Here We Are! I suppose you should read it before, otherwise these might be spoilers...
Today's music post: Losing My Way by Fkj & Tom Misch. Been listening to a lot of studio/live performances in the jazzy-realm.
Some WIP from chapter 4 of Here We Are webcomic.
This chapter is ~18 pages long and I'm pretty "behind", since I prioritized my freelance work over this. Lots of travel coming up for me in the next few weeks, and I've been feeling inexplicably extra tired overall. Mentioned this elsewhere, but the locker room was made in roomstyler which made my life a lot easier when it came to drawing in backgrounds. I also have FlowScape for quick nature/forest references (which are going to be coming up in the later half of chapter 4. There is a part of me that wonders how accurately I want to draw a boreal forest with the right trees, though the forest make-up changes depending on what year/era you're in. Sometimes I forget how dynamic mother nature is.
Today's music post: Hyukoh(혁오) on I'm LIVE, sounding really great live (the video has subtitles too). Stumbled upon this band and have no regrets!
Here We Are chapter 3 is out!
Some WIP below
Today's music post: Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey. I found this song because I was looking for "more contemporary" songs to sing at karaoke that were within my limited low range. I feel like more people are having winter time sadness, than summer time sadness right now.
Here are the WIPs from chapter 2 of Here We Are! I suppose you should read it before, otherwise these might be spoilers...
Today's music post: The Mind by Nomak (from Muzqi and Foto)
Did a test print of the first 2 ch of Here We Are webcomic. The tones look so much better in print than on web. I trimmed too much off the top and bottom so the ratio is slightly off (by ~0.25").
There's noticeable fuzziness and tone moiré in grayscale print vs sharpness and lack of moiré in bitmap print. These were printed with my BROTHER HL-2270DW black toner printer.
There is probably something about the printer's conversion software that is making the difference more prominent. I wonder how this works in riso since I've received mixed results (crisp and uncrisp lines/lettering) as well.
Today's music post: Anteholic OST by fricohet. I played the Ante Holic visual novel game by qb;studios back when yaoijam 2018 ended, and really enjoyed both the game and the music. They complimented each other very well!
